Here are some pictures for dreaming.

Apparently Marinette County has 614 miles of designated trout water. I hope to fish one or two of them this spring.

  1. Are these all freestone or any spring creeks? Beautiful looking water.

    • Mark,

According to the TU Website for Marinette County, these pics are of a freestone stream that is fed by spring creeks. They recommend fishing it early and late season because in the middle of summer it gets a little too warm for Trout to be happy.

      It sure is gorgeous!

  2. Okay, so now I am full on distracted! Look at that! We might have to move there for awhile. That’s an awful lot of water that needs fishiin’.

I’d love to hear what others might have to offer on the subject of fishing up there. Do tell.

  3. Troutseeker,
The streams in Marinette County are freestone streams. They do have small, cold springs that feed them. Trout can be caught all summer, just bring your thermometer. I caught a bunch of brookies yesterday on the Pike River in 62 degree water. Hope you liked my photos!

    • Doug,
Great to have you comment! The streams in your area are so beautiful and it’s great to hear the fishing is reliable.

Than you for taking those great pictures. Hope they lure some fishermen your way.

      Tom
